The Fatal 8
Mitchell Services has implemented a strong focus on the control of our fatal risks and high-risk tasks which we term our “Fatal 8” and form part of all team member and leadership discussions.
Mitchell Services implements a cultural program for all site start-ups outlining our core values and expected behaviours. Training is provided to all employees in hazard identification and risk management. Prior to mobilisation, a project risk assessment is conducted to develop an action plan for any additional risks.
Journey Management
Driving is a critical risk at Mitchell Services. Journey Management is one of the control systems used to ensure staff travel to and from each location without harm.
Mitchell has collaborated with a software development group to create a paperless Journey Management System (JMS) accessed through a user-friendly phone application (app). The system has been designed to reduce the ‘paper trail’ while ensuring frequent, planned contact with every Mitchell Services employee undergoing a journey.
