Be Sure. Be Safe.
In accordance with our HSEQ Policy, the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, contractors, stakeholders and visitors is integral to the way we work and deliver quality services. We recognise and value our people and believe each person can finish each day without harm. We are committed to delivering quality production and looking after our people and the environment in which we operate by striving for continuous improvement and periodic review of our performance.
A Holistic Approach
Mitchell Services operates under an Integrated Management System (IMS) which is the principal system for the management of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ). Mitchell Services has taken a holistic view of the business and has integrated all key business areas such as Commercial, Quality, Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Maintenance, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, Tendering and Risk Management. The IMS is fully documented and accessible from Mitchel Services’ cloud-based document storage system, OneDrive.
Integrated systems and
processes
The IMS is an essential element of our business and serves to meet customer requirements, reduce business risk, improve profitability and demonstrate responsible management to our stakeholders. The emphasis in using an ‘integrated’ system is to convey to employees the objectives behind the various activities that are being implemented, and to give an overview of how company activities are interlinked. This ensures all employees will be able to perform their activities, equipped with a clear understanding of their role within the processes of the company. Furthermore, an integrated system ensures that HSEQ requirements are considered during all phases of the business process from business planning and the tendering of projects to project decommissioning.
Plan, Do, Check and Act
Mitchell Services’ IMS is designed on the principles of continual improvement and adopts the methodology of Plan, Do, Check and Act. The system has been independently certified by International Certifications Ltd (third party certification body) as meeting the requirements of:
- AS/NZS-4801-2001 – Occupational Health & Safety
